Andrew Kramer

Andrew Kramer is Chair of the Motion Picture, Television and Entertainment Finance practice group. With over 30 years of experience working with leading global motion picture, television, and content-based companies, Andrew focuses his practice on transactional matters for domestic and international production and distribution companies, financiers, and private and institutional lenders. His work includes advising on the production and exploitation of motion picture, television, and digital media content; library and catalog acquisitions; single project and slate financing/co-financing arrangements; licensing; mergers and acquisitions; AI global content distribution and other corporate matters.
Andrew has held senior leadership roles at major film and television production and distribution companies throughout the industry.
He also formerly served as a member of the Executive Committee and General Vice Chairperson of The Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA), overseeing the global trade association for the independent motion picture and television industry.
Experience
Prior to joining Willkie in 2023, Andrew was a partner at Loeb & Loeb LLP.
He served as Chief Operating Officer, International Distribution, at Lionsgate where he was responsible for all aspects of Lionsgate’s international theatrical motion picture distribution operations and expanded Lionsgate’s international distribution, finance and operational structure. He oversaw the international distribution and release of several successful theatrical motion picture franchises such as The Hunger Games series, the Divergent series, Now You See Me, Sicario, the John Wick series and the Oscar-winning musical La La Land, among others.
He also launched and served as CEO of consulting firm Global Entertainment Strategies, Inc. His broad business and legal experience includes management and exploitation of numerous successful film, television and new media projects, including providing strategic advice and counsel on business and legal matters, structured financing for film, television and new media projects, domestic, international production, acquisitions and global distribution.

- ShowBiz Direct, an innovative new theatrical motion picture distribution company, in connection with the company’s launch, acquisition and distribution of its inaugural picture, “Reagan”.
