Willkie represented Row K Entertainment in connection with its acquisition of U.S. rights for the independent motion picture Charlie Harper, which premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
The movie stars Emilia Jones (CODA) and Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer) and follows two young adults, Charlie and Harper, who fall in love while navigating their early 20s, discovering themselves both as individuals and as a couple.
Row K is a new independent distributor launched by Willkie client Media Capital Technologies (MCT). Willkie previously represented MCT in its partnership with filmmaker Eli Roth to launch The Horror Section, a media company and production studio.
The deal was negotiated by Willkie partner Andrew Kramer.
