Beau Stapleton is a partner in Willkie’s Los Angeles office, where he is a member of the Corporate & Financial Services Department and the Entertainment Transactions Practice.

Beau advises entertainment companies, investors, artists and other rights holders on sophisticated transactions involving the creation, acquisition, financing and commercialization of intellectual property. His practice spans music, film, television and digital media, with a particular focus on rights and catalog transactions, strategic investments, recording and publishing agreements, joint ventures, licensing arrangements and other complex commercial matters. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in the entertainment industry before entering private practice, Beau combines legal counsel with practical business insight to help clients navigate an increasingly sophisticated and evolving entertainment landscape.

Beau has been recognized for his work in music, film and television by numerous leading entertainment and legal publications, including Chambers USA, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and Lawdragon, among others. He also regularly writes and speaks on emerging issues affecting the entertainment industry, including copyright ownership, music catalog transactions and the evolving legal framework surrounding music rights.
