
Neesa Patel Sood is a partner in the Asset Management Department. She counsels registered funds and their independent board members, as well as investment advisers, across a wide range of complex regulatory, compliance, fund governance, operational and transaction-related matters. She regularly provides advice regarding the structuring, launch and day-to-day operations of registered funds, including innovative products and structures. Neesa also has significant transactional experience, regularly counseling clients on fund restructurings and adoptions as well as merger and acquisition transactions. She regularly advises on industry and legal developments.
Neesa was named Independent Counsel of the Year at With Intelligence's 2023 Mutual Fund and ETF Awards and recognized by The Legal 500 (2023) as a "Next Generation Partner" for Investment Fund Formation and Management: Registered Funds, where she is praised for the "depth and breadth of her 1940 Act knowledge, combined with her excellent business judgment." Neesa leads the Advisory Committee for the Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP Greater D.C. Neesa also serves on the Board of Directors of Horton’s Kids, a non-profit organization focused on preparing children from communities in Southeast DC for college, career and life through educational opportunities and comprehensive programs tailored to their needs.
