Turnarounds & Workouts spotlighted Willkie’s work as restructuring counsel to Saks Global Holdings LLC in an article on the progress of the luxury retail giant’s closely watched chapter 11 case.

The article details Saks Global’s corporate history, its growth into the largest multi-brand luxury retailer in the world—it comprises Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks OFF 5TH— and the circumstances that led to its chapter 11 filing in January 2026.

Turnarounds & Workouts highlighted the progression of the complex chapter 11 case, including the bankruptcy court’s approval of more than $1.2 billion in debtor-in-possession financing in February and Saks Global’s recent entry into a Restructuring Support Agreement with an ad hoc group of its senior secured bondholders. The agreement provides Saks Global with $500 million in exit financing upon its emergence from chapter 11.

The article noted Willkie’s representation of Saks Global by a team led by partners Gregory Astrachan, Matthew Feldman, Debra M. Sinclair, Robin Spigel and Charlotta Chung. Partners Todd Goren, Jennifer Hardy, Allyson B. Smith, Christopher DiPompeo, Stuart Lombardi and Nathaniel Ward and associates Betsy Feldman, Daniel Morris, Timothy Ryan, Joseph Brandt, Jessica Graber, Marine Loison, Zain Syedain and Zachary Charlton were also identified as key members of the team.

The article “Who’s Who in Saks Global’s Chapter 11 Cases” appears in the April issue of Turnarounds & Workouts.
