Five Willkie attorneys from Willkie’s London and Washington, DC offices co-authored a chapter on anti-money laundering requirements and data privacy considerations for global financial institutions in the third edition of The Guide to Anti-Money Laundering, published by Global Investigations Review (GIR).

The chapter, titled “Challenges for Global Financial Institutions under Conflicting Legal Regimes,” provides an overview of the key differences among anti-money laundering and data privacy regimes in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. The authors also offer recommendations to global financial institutions and other financial intermediaries caught in the middle of these complex regulatory regimes.

The chapter was authored by partners Britt Mosman, Co-Chair of the Global Trade & Investment Practice Group, Laura Jehl, Co-Chair of the Privacy, Cybersecurity & Data Strategy Practice Group, David Mortlock, Co-Chair of the Global Trade & Investment Practice Group, and associates Joshua Nelson and Kari Prochaska.

The third edition of The Guide to Anti-Money Laundering covers global enforcement and compliance trends, with specific practical advice for corporations and their counsel.
