Joshua Nelson is an associate in the Global Trade & Investment Practice Group in Washington. He advises clients on government regulation of international trade and investment, particularly with regard to the U.S. economic sanctions, export controls, CFIUS, and anti-money laundering. He regularly advises both domestic and foreign clients in a range of industries including finance, private equity, oil and gas, healthcare, and media.

Joshua regularly assists clients with the following:
- Compliance with U.S. economic sanctions, export controls, and anti-money laundering regulations;
- Navigating the CFIUS review process, including both voluntary and mandatory filings;
- Due diligence for compliance on investment targets, vendors, and other partners; and
- License requests, voluntary self-disclosures, and other filings with the Departments of the Treasury, Commerce, and State.
