David Kupka is a national partner in the Antitrust & Competition Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Brussels. 

David advises on all aspects of EU, French and Belgian competition law issues, including merger control, EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) regimes, cartel investigations and compliance programs. He also sets up and handles global filing strategies for complex transactions of PE sponsors and corporations.

Focusing on European and French competition law, his main areas of practice encompass anticompetitive practices (cartels, vertical restrains and abuse of dominant position) and merger control issues. He practices in French and English.

Experience

Before joining Willkie in September 2015, David worked as an associate in the competition team of a Magic Circle firm’s Paris office. Prior to bar qualification, he completed traineeships with highly ranked French boutique antitrust law firms, the competition law department of a French nuclear and renewable power company, and the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission in Brussels.
