Willkie’s Restructuring team advised an ad hoc group of holders of the €250 million 1.5L notes on the €2 billion holistic recapitalisation of the Lowell Group, a European leader in credit management services. 

The transaction, announced on 28 August, 2026, will result in a substantial deleveraging of Lowell’s balance sheet by more than £1 billion, the provision of over £500 million in new money, and the transfer of ownership to a newly formed investor group comprised of existing creditors. The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions precedent and is expected to occur in Q4 2026/Q1 2027.
