Willkie advised J. Safra Group on its participation in an $800 million equity investment in Flexjet from a consortium of strategic investors. The investment marks the largest equity investment in the history of private aviation.
 
Flexjet recently announced that it closed an $800 million equity investment from a consortium of investors that includes L Catterton, affiliates of KSL Capital Partners, LLC and the J. Safra Group.
 
Flexjet, which first entered the fractional jet ownership market in 1995, is a global leader in private aviation, offering fractional jet ownership and leasing.
 
The J. Safra Group, with total assets under management of $345 billion, consists of privately owned banks under the Safra name and investment holdings in asset-based business sectors such as real estate and agribusiness.
