Willkie advised TCG as lead investor in the transaction.

On July 21, the Premier Lacrosse League announced the completion of a Series D financing round led by Willkie client The Chernin Group (TCG).

Existing investors Blue Pool Capital and Brett Jefferson Holdings also participated in the investment round, alongside new investors World Wrestling Entertainment and 35V, a media and investment company founded by NBA champion Kevin Durant and entrepreneur Rich Kleiman, as well as Wheelhouse Entertainment and Pomp Investments.

The Premier Lacrosse League powered by Ticketmaster is a men’s professional lacrosse league in North America, consisting of eight teams rostered by the best players in the world.

Founded by Peter Chernin, Jesse Jacobs and Mike Kerns, TCG is a multi-stage investment firm dedicated to building consumer businesses.
