Willkie represented Atlas Holdings in its acquisition of EVRAZ Inc. NA and EVRAZ Inc. NA Canada and their respective subsidiaries (together, “EVRAZ North America”), a leading producer of engineered steel products in the United States and Canada for rail, energy, infrastructure and industrial end markets.
On July 31, Atlas announced the completion of its acquisition of EVRAZ North America and the formation of the Orion Steel Companies, a new North American producer that owns and operates Rocky Mountain Steel Mills, Interpro Pipe and Steel, and Oregon Steel Mills.
Headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, Atlas and its affiliates own and operate 29 companies, which employ more than 60,000 associates across 375 facilities worldwide.
The Willkie team was led by partners Steven Seidman, Mark Cognetti, Brittany Klinger and Laura Acker and included partners Joshua Deason, Jonathan Zane, Vadim Mahmoudov, David Drewes, David Mortlock, Simon Osborn-King, Mark Holdsworth, Sarah Haddy and Genevieve Dorment, counsel David Levine and William Thomas, and associates Daniela Abadi, Joshua Wexler, Alton Martin and Ji Hoon Suk.
