Willkie partner Karen Lorang has been recognized as one of the “2025 Commercial Real Estate Visionaries” by LA Times Studios for her leadership and accomplishments in complex real estate transactions. 
Karen was named among the most influential leaders across the commercial real estate sector in Southern California and noted for representing investors and developers in some of the most significant projects across the country.
The profile highlighted her work advising on Tishman Speyer’s public-private partnership with The Ohio State University for the development of a 350-acre innovation district at the university. It also noted her representation of Breakthrough Properties, a joint venture of Tishman Speyer and biotechnology investment firm Bellco Capital, in its $159 million acquisition of a life science campus in San Diego, and her involvement in the San Francisco Giants’ construction of Mission Rock, a 28-acre mixed-use development near its baseball stadium.
