Cameron is an associate in Willkie's Competition & Antitrust Litigation Practice in London. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, in particular competition litigation. He has experience representing both class representatives and defendants in high-value collective proceedings before the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal in the financial services and tech industries, representing claimants and defendants in High Court and LCIA arbitration proceedings, and defending against investigations by the UK Competition and Markets Authority.
Notable cases Cameron has been involved in include the landmark collective proceedings brought by Mr Walter Hugh Merricks CBE against Mastercard, where a collective settlement of £200 million was agreed and approved, a related LCIA arbitration brought against Mr Merricks by his litigation funder, the defence of collective proceedings alleging abuse of dominance in the market for PC operating systems, and an investigation by the CMA into concerted practices in relation to UK government bonds. He is also active in Willkie’s pro bono practice, where he has successfully secured refugee status for an asylum seeker under the UK Immigration Rules.
Prior to joining Willkie, Cameron practised in the competition team in the disputes practice at a major international firm in Sydney, Australia, where he represented private and public sector clients, including the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, in complex commercial disputes before federal and state courts, regulatory investigations and compliance matters, and high-value transactions.
