Dane Sowers is an associate in Willkie’s Intellectual Property Department. He focuses his practice on solving clients’ most complex intellectual property disputes, including in appellate courts, federal district courts, and at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Dane represents clients in patent disputes relating to a wide range of electrical and computing technologies, including video streaming, digital communication standards, and electronic design automation.  He also represents clients in high-stakes patent disputes relating to pharmaceuticals, as well as trademark, copyright, and contract disputes—one of which was recently tried to a jury verdict.

Prior to joining Willkie, Dane served as a law clerk to the Honorable William C. Bryson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where he also assisted with district court matters pending in the District of Delaware and the Eastern District of Texas. Dane graduated Order of the Coif from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2021, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
