Alaric Green is a partner in Willkie's London office. Alaric’s practice covers a wide range of competition law issues, including merger control and transaction-specific matters, cartels, abuse of dominance issues, competition litigation and UK market investigations. Alaric also has considerable experience advising on foreign investment screening processes, the UK National Security and Investment Act, and the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation. His role encompasses strategic analysis and advice, and has experience of advising on “phase 1” and “phase 2” reviews, including remedy negotiations and implementation.

Alaric has advised financial sponsors/investors and corporate clients alike on both private and public transactions. He has significant experience coordinating international regulatory processes across all major antitrust jurisdictions. His clients span a wide range of sectors including heavy industry, retail and grocery, consumer/FMCG, e-commerce, financial services and insurance, digital, telecoms, infrastructure and energy. Alaric also has experience advising on EU and UK sector-specific regulation, for example relating to energy and telecoms, and has previously worked in-house at a leading UK telecoms operator.
