Willkie is advising Agence France Locale (AFL), a French bank 100% owned by local governments, on its acquisition of GE SCF S.C.A., a French covered bond issuer.
Agence France Locale recently announced that it entered into an agreement with GE Capital Global Holdings, LLC to acquire GE SCF S.C.A. The transaction provides AFL with a covered bond issuance vehicle to complement its senior debt program and is part of AFL's strategy to diversify its funding tools and optimize its access to financial markets.
