Willkie served as financing counsel to Platinum Equity in connection with its acquisition of PlayPower, one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of recreational and outdoor living systems.
Platinum recently announced that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire PlayPower from Littlejohn & Co, LLC. PlayPower designs and manufactures a wide range of products including playground systems and recreational equipment for key end markets such as schools, parks and recreation, commercial and industrial facilities, residential communities, marine environments, and hospitality venues.
Founded in 1995 by Tom Gores, Platinum Equity is a global investment firm with approximately $50 billion of assets under management and a portfolio of approximately 60 operating companies that serve customers around the world.
The Willkie team was led by partners Cristopher Greer, Joshua Deason and Jason Pearl and included associates Loren Flath, Onik Deb and Emily Wang.
