Willkie is representing LS Power Equity Advisors, LLC in its sale of a portfolio of natural gas generation facilities and a commercial and industrial virtual power plant platform to NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE: NRG) in a $12 billion deal.
On May 12, LS Power announced that it entered into a definitive agreement under which NRG will acquire a portfolio of 18 natural gas-fired facilities as well as CPower, a leading commercial and industrial virtual power plant platform, in a cash and common stock transaction valued at approximately $12 billion enterprise value.
