Anna Martini G. Pereira, partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department and Chair of the Latin America Practice Group, has been named to Bloomberg Law’s 2026 “They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40.”
Anna was recognized as one of the top M&A attorneys in the country under age 40 who is excelling as a practice group leader and mentor to the next generation of dealmakers. In a Q&A profile, she discussed her career path, landmark transactions, and approach to leadership, among other topics.
Anna’s record of success includes advising technology company Bending Spoons on numerous high-profile deals, including its acquisition of AOL from Yahoo in 2025 and its recent agreement to acquire Airtable for $1.285 billion. She also guided Ferrara Candy Company, the largest the largest sugar confections company in the U.S., on its first Latin American acquisition – the purchase in 2023 of Dori Alimentos, a leading Brazilian candy and snacks manufacturer.
Anna reflected on the role models early in her career whose intellectual curiosity and commitment to excellence set the standards she now instills in others. “There was no hierarchy of effort—only a consistent standard of excellence applied to everything. I adopted that mindset immediately, and it has shaped my practice ever since.”
She also emphasized the importance of leading by example and helping others find personal and professional fulfilment in the law. She focuses on building teams with complementary strengths and shared achievements to make a lasting impact on clients, colleagues and the profession.
“For the profession, success means leaving it better than I found it—by raising the bar through excellent work, investing in the next generation, and contributing meaningfully to the legal community,” Anna told Bloomberg Law.
