Willkie partners Katrina Robson and Faustine Viala have been recognized in “Women in Antitrust 2025,” Global Competition Review’s series showcasing the women at the forefront of competition law.
They were named among the top female private practitioners, in-house counsel, economists, and academics selected by GCR for excellence in antitrust law and groundbreaking contributions to the field.
Katrina Robson, a partner in Willkie’s Antitrust & Competition Practice Group based in Washington, DC, is widely recognized as a leading antitrust litigator. She has tried some of the most significant antitrust disputes in recent years, including historic cases related to clearance for multibillion-dollar mergers. She also counsels clients on a variety of issues, including monopolization, vertical restraints and integration, merger advocacy and clearance, general antitrust compliance and global litigation strategy. Katrina was previously recognized in the last two editions of GCR’s “Women in Antitrust,” in 2021 and 2016.
Faustine Viala, a partner in the Antitrust & Competition Practice Group based in Paris and Brussels, was recognized as a market leader in European and French competition law. Focusing on merger control, anticompetitive practices and distribution law, Faustine represents French and international companies, including leaders in the media, sports, chemical, aeronautic, cosmetics and telecoms industries, in litigation before competition authorities and provides extensive transactional and regulatory counsel.
GCR published Q&A profiles for the new honorees not previously included in the guide. In her Q&A, Faustine discussed her keys to success in antitrust law, recent developments in the field, and emerging issues in competition enforcement.
“Antitrust has changed as practice area in two respects,” Faustine told GCR, “First, we treat more sophisticated theories of harm with more economic intervention, and second, antitrust is becoming more and more essential for clients.”
