Partners Alan Epstein, Alex Weingarten, Michele Mulrooney and Sidney Fohrman have been named to Variety’s Legal Impact Report 2022, an annual listing of the entertainment industry’s top lawyers. The accolades collectively highlight Willkie’s strength across its transactional and litigation practices in Los Angeles.

Alan Epstein, Chair of Willkie’s Entertainment Transactions Practice, is one of the entertainment industry’s leading dealmakers. He was recognized for representing Ryan Reynolds’ creative marketing agency, Maximum Effort Marketing, in its sale to performance television platform Mountain Digital. The publication also noted his success advising Spyglass Media Group in connection with the sale of over 200 feature film titles to Lionsgate and the creation of a strategic content partnership.

Alex Weingarten is Managing Partner of Willkie’s Los Angeles Office and Chair of the Firm’s Entertainment Litigation Practice. One of the entertainment industry’s foremost trial attorneys, Alex is representing Jamie Spears in the high-profile dispute with his daughter Britney Spears over her conservatorship.

Michele Mulrooney is a partner in Willkie’s Private Clients Group. Variety highlighted her work advising high-net-worth individuals, including actors, directors, writers, producers and artists, on sophisticated estate planning.

Sidney Fohrman is Chair of Willkie’s Music and Digital Media Practice. Variety highlighted his cutting-edge work at the intersection of media and tech, including on transactions involving blockchain technology, NFTs and the integration of music and the metaverse. Sidney’s experience includes leading major music rights transactions.
