Christian Werthmüller is an associate in the German Real Estate Department. He specializes in the development and sale of Data Centers and Light Industrial Premises as well as ESG issues in due diligence and the impact of AI on the real estate sector. He represents international investors and developers as well as private equity clients regarding real estate transactions and restructuring of their real estate portfolio. Furthermore, Christian focuses on commercial lease agreements and project developments.

In parallel to his admission as a lawyer, he obtained his Phd from the University of Mannheim which was awarded as “outstanding”. Besides his work at Willkie, Christian is a lecturer at the University of Mannheim. Prior to joining Willkie, Christian worked at another international law firm.

Christian has been recommended as “Lawyer of the Future” in Handelsblatt 2022-2024 and as “ONES TO WATCH” in Commercial Real Estate in Best Lawyers Magazine 2022-2024, both for three consecutive times.

Christian is fluent in German and English.
