Lior Ohayon is a partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Asset Management Department. Over the past two decades, Lior has advised domestic and foreign banks, financial services companies and investment management firms on fund formation, restructurings, investments, liquidity events, financings, secondary transactions, employee compensation, and regulatory matters across asset classes, investment structures and market cycles in the U.S. and abroad, with a particular focus on private equity, credit, infrastructure and real estate.

Lior has received many accolades over the years for his work in fund formation, including by Chambers Global, Chambers USA, The Legal 500 U.S., Best Lawyers in America, Who's Who Legal and Super Lawyers. He was also named to Private Funds Management’s list of the top 30 private funds lawyers under 40 in 2015. In Chambers Global, where Lior ranks among the leading individuals practicing in the area of Private Equity Fund Formation in the United States, he has been described as “absolutely phenomenal,” a practitioner who is “very sharp from a commercial perspective” and “incredibly smart, personable, professional and patient.”

Prior to joining Willkie in 2017, Lior was Chair of the Private Funds Group and Co-Chair of the Corporate Practice at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP in New York.
