Paul Ansani is an associate in Willkie’s Intellectual Property Department. Paul represents clients in complex patent litigation disputes in district court proceedings and in inter partes review (“IPR”) proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (“PTAB”). He has represented clients across a broad range of technologies including biotechnology, mechanical, and industrial technologies.
Prior to joining Willkie, Paul earned his JD summa cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated as the valedictorian of his class. During law school, he externed with a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He also served as an executive articles editor on the Chicago-Kent Law Review, an executive board member of the Moot Court Honors Society, and a teaching assistant for contracts and legal writing. Prior to his legal career, Paul worked as a mechanical engineer at a Chicago-based product-design company.
