Willkie has advised a syndicate of lenders led by Société Générale on a EUR 220 million senior secured loan facility for the Altitude Group in relation to the acquisition of 18 Covage Fiber to the Office (FTTO) networks and the refinancing of their existing debt.

With the acquisition of Covage’s FTTO networks, the Altitude Group has strengthened its market position as a prominent independent fiber operator in France by further expanding its business in this sector.

Willkie is proud to have advised the lenders led by Société Générale in the hybrid leverage project financing of this landmark transaction. This transaction follows a streak of significant fiber deals in France that the firm has advised on over the past 3 years, including the development and financing of Project Asterix and Project Saint Malo as legal advisor to Bouygues Telecom and the legal advisor to Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, CNP Assurances and EDF Invest in the acquisition of a stake in Orange Concessions.

The Willkie team serving as legal advisor to the lenders was led by Paris-based partner Amir Jahanguiri and senior associate Antoine Bouzanquet along with associates Shimei Li and Farrah Bandomi Mombongo.
