The Q&A interview addresses the outlook after the pandemic across the region.

Willkie partners Maria-Leticia Ossa Daza and Jorge Kamine, along with Director of Latin America Strategy Maria Isabel Nieto, recently discussed the COVID-19 impact on Latin America energy and infrastructure projects with Latinvex. In the Q&A interview, they addressed questions on the oil price decline and the outlook after the pandemic across the region.

Ms. Ossa Daza, who head’s Willkie’s Latin America practice, commented: “From the perspective of our Latin America Practice team at Willkie, we expect to invest most of our time on transactions in Chile, Colombia, Peru and possibly Brazil. We will also be monitoring opportunities in Costa Rica for the reasons mentioned and also in Panama given its investment-grade status.”

Ms. Ossa Daza and Mr. Kamine were recently named among Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers for 2020 by Latinvex.
