Corporate partner Archie Fallon was profiled for Law360’s 2019 MVP series as one of only five attorneys nationwide to be recognized in the Project Finance category. Among his achievements in 2019, Mr. Fallon, who is based in Willkie’s Houston office, is lauded for successfully facilitating energy infrastructure deals, one for a novel liquefied natural gas terminal that fuels ships, as well as a significant private equity investment into an energy storage project in Utah.

In the profile, Law360 highlights Mr. Fallon’s representation of Southern Co. Gas entity Pivotal LNG in its equity investment in an expansion of JAX LNG, a small-scale liquefied natural gas facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Fallon discusses how the client’s project is transforming the way ships are fuelled and how the facility is the first of its kind in North America. The profile also noted Mr. Fallon’s representation of private equity fund Haddington Ventures in its investment in underground energy storage assets through Magnum Energy, which is working on multiple cutting-edge energy storage projects in Utah.

In reflecting upon his busy practice, which is focused in the energy sector, Mr. Fallon told Law360 it is important “understanding the energy markets that drive clients’ businesses to successful outcomes.”

In making their MVP selections, Law360 underscores that the elite slate of attorneys chosen “distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.”
