New York, NY (May 10, 2018) – Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that Denis A. Fallon (Archie) has joined the firm as a partner in its Houston office. Mr. Fallon was previously a partner in the Houston office of King & Spalding.

“Archie’s strong transactional background in the energy industry will be a tremendous benefit to our energy fund clients,” said Bruce C. Herzog, Willkie’s partner in charge of the Houston office. “In particular, his energy infrastructure sector experience involving midstream assets like pipelines and storage as well as power assets fits our firm’s strategy of serving as long-term advisors to energy funds and their portfolio companies operating throughout the energy supply chain.”

Mr. Fallon focuses on a wide variety of M&A, private equity, and project development across all segments of the energy industry. He represents energy companies, and energy- and infrastructure-focused private equity funds and financial institutions. Mr. Fallon has particular experience advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in midstream and infrastructure projects.

“I am thrilled to join the Willkie team,” said Mr. Fallon. “Willkie has developed a tier-one platform in the energy private equity space. There are real synergies between my clients and the Willkie platform, and I believe Willkie is uniquely positioned to offer versatile and expert resources to my clients.”

“Archie is core to what we have built and will continue to build in Houston. He is a gifted and versatile attorney with extensive experience in the energy private equity industry generally and the midstream and infrastructure spaces more specifically – from nuts and bolts to highly specialized matters. In bringing Archie on board, we have made another key strategic addition to our growing Houston office that will further broaden our energy practice,” said Willkie partner and energy practice co-head Michael De Voe Piazza.

Willkie’s Houston office, which opened in November 2014, has grown to approximately 30 attorneys focused primarily on corporate work, with a special focus on the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a wide variety of transactions including those relating to the energy sector.
