Paris office represents PAI Partners and Sagard on the sale of the Kiloutou Group, a leading European equipment rental company.
On November 17, longtime client PAI Partners and Sagard announced that they had entered into a definitive agreement with HLDI and HLD Europe for the sale of the Kiloutou Group, the fourth-largest European equipment rental company and a major player in France.
Willkie advised PAI Partners in its 2011 acquisition of the Kiloutou Group from Sagard, which subsequently reinvested a minority stake with PAI Partners.
The Kiloutou group offers approximately 1,000 products in a variety of fields: aerial work platforms, earthmoving and construction equipment, first fix and second fix equipment, commercial vehicles and event-based equipment. With a turnover of over €600 million in 2017 and a workforce of 4,300 in Europe, Kiloutou represents a network of 500 agencies. In France, about 420 of the agencies are with specialist building retailers or local stores in city centers. Also, the network includes 32 agencies in Poland, 14 in Spain, 10 in Italy and three in Germany.
