Willkie advised client Two Sigma in connection with the first lease completed for space at The Bridge at Cornell Tech, which is currently under construction.
Willkie represented client Two Sigma Investments, LP in connection with the first third-party lease announced and completed for space at The Bridge at Cornell Tech, a new building on Cornell University’s under-construction Roosevelt Island Technology Campus. The lease has also been reported by the Wall Street Journal and The Real Deal.
The Bridge is being developed and managed by Forest City Ratner Companies with the goal of better connecting academia with technology-focused startups and established companies. Cornell University will have a material presence at The Bridge as well.
Two Sigma Investments, LP is an investment manager that focuses on technology, data and the scientific method to innovate the way investments are managed. Two Sigma Ventures, an affiliate of Two Sigma Investments that invests in and incubates start-ups, is also planning to occupy a portion of the space.
The lease was handled by partner Thomas Henry and associates Justin Elliott and Jennifer DiNicola.
