On April 28-29, partners Debra Sinclair, James Burbage, Jennifer Hardy and Christopher DiPompeo will participate as speakers during the Southern District of Texas 2026 Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference, hosted by the Houston Bar Association in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jenn also serves as Co-Chair of the Planning Committee, and Willkie partner Paul Labov and associate Matt Waldrep will be in attendance.
On April 28 at 11:15 am (CT), Debra will participate on the panel titled “Who’s Really in Control? The Role of Special Committees and Independent Directors in Complex Chapter 11.” At 1:00 pm, Jim will speak on the panel titled “Sunnova Redux – From the Trenches to the Confirmation Order,” and at 2:00 pm, Jenn will speak on the panel titled “The Rise of Strategic Chapter 11s: Distinguishing Reorganization from Litigation Tactics in Mass Torts.”
On April 29 at 10:45 am, Chris will host the session titled “SCOTUS Behind the Scenes: Inside Scoop from Former Clerks.” At 11:30 am, Jenn will moderate the Bankruptcy Judges Panel.
