Willkie partner Peter Burrell, Chair of the Litigation, Investigations & Enforcement, and White-Collar Defense Practice Groups in London, has been recognized by Lawdragon as one of the 100 Leading Lawyers in London.
Peter, who is also Managing Partner of Willkie’s London office, was named among the top 100 attorneys in London “that the corporate world needs to get to know” and recognized for excellence in the Corporate Crime and Investigations category. He is one of the only honorees in his field and the sole practitioner from Willkie, as Lawdragon limited the inaugural London guide to one honoree per firm.
The accolade further establishes Peter as one of the UK’s leading specialists in corporate crime and compliance matters. His practice includes advising on compliance issues relating to money laundering, bribery and corruption, sanctions and fraud; conducting complex internal corporate investigations; and defending companies and individuals in investigations and enforcement actions by the UK’s Serious Fraud Office, Financial Conduct Authority, HM Revenue and Customs, and other law enforcement and regulatory agencies. Peter also handles complex High Court litigation and arbitration proceedings in London, with a particular focus on financial fraud, securities disputes and financial reporting issues.
