Michael S. Schachter, partner and Co-Chair of Willkie's White-Collar Defense Practice Group, has been honored by UJA-Federation of New York for his leadership in the law, service to the community and commitment to helping those in need.
Mike was recognized for his professional excellence and philanthropic efforts at the UJA’s White Collar & Securities Enforcement annual cocktail reception in New York. A nationally renowned trial lawyer and white-collar defense attorney, Mike represents corporations and their executives in their most challenging cases and investigations, and handles a wide variety of civil litigation.
Mike’s record of success includes numerous victories over the Justice Department in some of the highest-profile trials in recent years. Prior to joining Willkie, Mike served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where he was a member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force.
