Willkie partner Rita Mitchell will be recognized at the Women’s White Collar Defense Association’s (WWCDA) 2025 Awards for her leadership in white collar defense and commitment to advancing women in the practice.
Rita, a partner in Willkie’s Investigations & Enforcement and White Collar Defense Practices in London, has been named the recipient of the “Laurie A. Miller Leadership Award for the Advancement of Women in White Collar Defense.” She has co-led the London Chapter of the WWCDA since January 2020 and has long served as a role model and mentor to women practitioners at Willkie and across the industry.
Dual-qualified in the U.S. and the UK, Rita is widely recognized as a leading White Collar Defense & Investigations attorney. She advises and defends clients in a variety of criminal and civil investigation and enforcement matters, conducts complex, worldwide internal investigations in relation to bribery, corruption, fraud, money laundering, sanctions, and human/business rights, and helps clients develop best-in-class compliance programs and procedures.
Rita Michell will be honored at the WWCDA’s 2025 Awards Gala in Washington, D.C., on December 2, 2025.
WWCDA promotes the common business and professional interests of attorneys and other professionals who specialize in white collar and other defense and compliance work. The organization includes 51 chapters globally and consists of more than 4,700 lawyers and other professionals in the practice of white collar defense.
