Koren (Kori) Bell, partner in Willkie’s Litigation Department, has been named to Daily Journal’s “Top Women Lawyers 2025,” an annual series recognizing the 100 leading women practitioners in California.
Kori was recognized for her leadership and impact as one of the most accomplished high-stakes trial attorneys in the state. Daily Journal noted her recent success in a series of prominent white-collar criminal trials, including obtaining a non-custodial sentence, despite lifetime prison exposure, for the co-founder and former president of tech startup Outcome Health in a 10-week federal fraud trial.
The profile also discussed the breadth of Kori’s trial practice, which encompasses both criminal defense and complex civil litigation. It noted her role as trial counsel for Netflix in the successful defense of a patent infringement case, largely defeating claims that sought approximately $300 million in damages.
In addition, Daily Journal noted the evolution of Kori’s legal practice, highlighting her formative experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and her early career as a public defender.
“Judge Reinhardt taught me the importance of rigor in legal analysis and a command of the facts; the value of distilling complex issues into a clear, focused presentation; and the role of credibility and authenticity in the courtroom,” Kori told Daily Journal.
