Shaimaa and Randall were recognized for their achievements in the law and leadership in “forging a path for others—women, minorities and members of other underrepresented groups—to travel.” They are among 80 attorneys from New York’s leading law firms honored for their impact at the forefront of the industry.

Crain’s noted Shaimaa’s record of success representing multinational corporations and financial institutions in complex commercial litigation arising out of mergers and acquisitions, corporate-control transactions and government investigations. The publication also highlighted her influence as a role model and mentor to the next generation of diverse leaders in the law and her deep commitment to pro bono advocacy. Her accolades include being awarded the Federal Bar Council’s Thurgood Marshall Award for exceptional pro bono service.

Randall was honored as a leading trial attorney focused on government and internal investigations, white collar criminal defense, complex civil litigation and regulatory compliance. Crain’s also noted his previous role as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he received the U.S. Department of Justice’s Distinguished Service Award and the John Marshall Award for his work as a prosecutor on the Times Square Bomber and Madoff cases, respectively. In addition, the publication highlighted Randall’s efforts to recruit and advance diverse talent at Willkie and his work on the board of the New York Legal Assistance Group to combat economic, racial and social injustice.
