On January 28, Willkie partner William Rooney, Chair of the firm’s U.S. Antitrust Practice Group, was honored with the William T. Lifland Service Award by the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Section. The award is presented to antitrust practitioners in recognition of their contributions and accomplishments in the field.
“Bill is a worthy recipient of the section's annual Lifland Award,” said Lisl Dunlop, chair of the Antitrust Law Section. “Through his wonderful work as section chair, his ongoing energetic promotion and development of the section's fall symposium, as well as his mentorship of junior members of the antitrust bar, he embodies some of the best qualities of Bill Lifland, after whom this award is named.”
