For the third consecutive year, Houston Corporate partner Michael Piazza has been profiled as part of Law360’s “Rising Stars” series, which features top legal talent under 40. Mr. Piazza was one of only seven attorneys nationwide to be named a 2015 “Rising Star” in the area of Energy; he also was included in Law360’s Rising Stars in 2014 and 2013. Winners were selected based on the strength of their accomplishments in their respective practice areas thus far in their careers.
The profile, which ran on April 6, notes that Mr. Piazza was one of three lawyers chosen by Willkie to launch the firm’s office in Houston last November, and quotes Bruce Herzog, who heads up the Houston office: “Michael’s agreement to join us was critical to our decision to open a Houston office. We heard of his talents from many sources in the Houston market, and he has been a key contributor to our success there.”
Mr. Piazza is currently representing Sage Midstream LLC, which is developing a fractionation facility in North Dakota that will transport liquefied petroleum gas by rail to a new propane and butane export terminal in Washington state.
