The Ethisphere Institute recently announced its listing of “2014 Attorneys Who Matter,” which once again includes three Willkie litigation partners: Martin Weinstein, Michael Schachter and Mei Lin Kwan-Gett.  The annual listing recognizes attorneys nationwide who have demonstrated a significant commitment to advancing corporate ethics and compliance.  The listing comprises attorneys in all areas of practice, including  law firms, federal agencies and major corporations.

Mr. Weinstein is named among a short list of “Top Guns,” and Mr. Schachter and Ms. Kwan-Gett are recognized as leading “Specialists – Private Practice.”   Mr. Weinstein has been recognized on Attorneys Who Matter since its inception in 2009, and this is the fifth consecutive year that Mr. Schachter and Ms. Kwan-Gett have been honored.

Ethisphere highlights that the listing represents “the best and brightest in the field” and comprises “the attorneys with the best public service, legal community engagement and academic involvement.”  The following criteria were used in determining the selection of recognized attorneys: 1) recognized expertise, 2) peer/client endorsements, 3) high-profile litigation, 4) number of cases won, 5) high-profile clients, 6) public service, 7) legal community engagement, 8) academic involvement and 9) other awards and recognitions.
