Blake Winburne is a partner and Co-Chair of Willkie’s Energy and Infrastructure Practice. He is based in the Firm’s Houston office.
Blake is an experienced transactional attorney who counsels clients on complex mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, investments and joint ventures, as well as the development, structuring and financing of large-scale infrastructure projects in the United States and internationally. He regularly handles transactions involving electric power generation and transmission assets (including fossil fuel-fired, renewable energy and battery storage projects), as well as oil, natural-gas, refined products and alternative fuels production, transportation and storage facilities, and data centers and other digital infrastructure. His clients include private equity and credit funds, energy companies, project developers and sponsors, borrowers and debt issuers, investment banks, and other capital providers and investors.
Blake is highly recognized in the market, with top-tier accolades that include a Band 1 ranking from Chambers USA and Chambers Global in Power & Renewables: Transactional and recognition as a “Hall of Fame” practitioner in Energy Transactions: Electric Power by Legal 500 USA.
