Lauren Waxman is the Global Director of Market Intelligence and Practice Innovation for Willkie's Asset Management Department, where she leads the department's knowledge management and practice innovation initiatives. Bringing deep experience as a practitioner both at large law firms and in house, Lauren focuses on translating legal tools, technologies and institutional knowledge into practical and accessible resources, including AI-powered workflow agents and precedent systems, scalable operational infrastructure and focused training programs.
Prior to joining Willkie, Lauren was counsel at a large international law firm and served as Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Pretium, a specialized investment firm focused on residential real estate, residential real estate securities, and corporate credit. Lauren has extensive experience representing sponsors in the formation and negotiation of private investment funds.
Experience
Prior to joining Willkie in 2022, Lauren was counsel at Mayer Brown. She also previously served as the chief compliance officer and associate general counsel of an investment manager focused on real estate and mortgage finance.
