Kim A. Walker serves as the firm’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer and Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Kim previously served as the firm’s Director of Diversity, a position she held for fifteen years. She is also a partner in the Intellectual Property Department and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Kim is a member of The New York City Bar Association (City Bar), and previously served as a member of its Committee to Enhance Diversity in the Profession. She also represents Willkie as one of the founding members of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals.

Kim has served as a featured speaker at seminars and panels pertaining to diversity and inclusion conducted by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the American Bar Association, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, Practising Law Institute, and the City Bar, as well as several national law schools.  Kim was named to the Crain’s New York Business 2019 “Notable Women in Law” List, and was recently named on the shortlist for “Outstanding Contribution to Furthering the Advancement of Diversity in the Legal Profession” at the Chambers Diversity and Inclusion Awards: USA 2020. She is also named to Lawyers of Color’s 2022 “Law Firm Leaders” list.

Kim currently serves as a board member of The Legal Aid Society, also serving as a member of the Society’s Diversity and Inclusion subcommittee. She is also a member of the NYS Mentoring Program Advisory Council and a Board member of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), both of which advocate for youth in foster care.
