Kristine Waggener is counsel in the Private Wealth Group. She is based in the Firm’s San Francisco and Los Angeles offices.
Kristine counsels high-net-worth clients on their estate and wealth transfer planning. She has extensive experience with the complexities of family wealth and she works with individuals and multi-generational families to minimize income, estate, gift, and California property taxes while focusing on each client’s priorities.
Kristine often represents families owning substantial interests in closely held and publicly traded corporations, and she advises on how to hold wealth in family partnerships, limited liability companies, and S corporations. She guides clients through liquidity and insurance planning, shareholders’ agreements, and buy-sell arrangements to ensure coordination of their personal and business planning.
Kristine also advises on charitable giving strategies, succession planning for family-owned businesses, and structures to protect clients’ privacy. Prior to focusing her practice on estate planning, Kristine was a business attorney and she uses her multidisciplinary experience to provide creative, practical planning strategies.
