Chloe Smeltzer is an associate in Willkie’s Litigation Department, based in the firm’s Chicago office. Chloe’s experience spans a broad field of substantive topic areas, including complex commercial litigation, class actions, ERISA, civil rights, antitrust, unfair competition, federal investigations, and appellate matters. She works on cases both in federal and state courts at every stage of litigation, from pre-suit strategy through post judgment proceedings. Her practice includes briefing dispositive and other high-stakes motions—including TRO’s and preliminary injunctions—drafting appellate briefs, preparing for mediations, and assisting with discovery proceedings. 

Chloe maintains an active pro bono practice, in areas including civil rights matters and investigations. 

Outside of Willkie, Chloe both coaches Trial Team and volunteers as an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. As an Adjunct Professor, Chloe helps teach Advanced Trial Practice.
