Amelia Putnam is an associate in the Communications & Media Department and the Privacy, Cybersecurity & Data Strategy Group and the AI & Emerging Technologies Group in the Washington, D.C. office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. Amelia counsels on regulatory compliance with U.S. and international data protection, privacy and cybersecurity laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and other U.S. state privacy and data breach notification laws.  Amelia helps clients across various industries navigate data use issues related to artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.  Amelia also advises on government inquiries, corporate transactions, data breach response, cross-border data transfer issues, and legislative and regulatory proposals concerning privacy and cybersecurity.
