Anika Holland is a litigation associate in Willkie’s San Francisco office.  Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, data privacy, and emerging issues in artificial intelligence.  She has experience representing Fortune 100 tech companies, venture capital funds, early-stage startups, and individual executives in high stakes disputes in both federal and state court.

Prior to joining Willkie, Anika served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jane B. Stranch of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and to the Honorable James Donato of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Anika maintains a robust pro bono practice.  She has authored amicus briefs on criminal defendants’ fair trial rights, advocated for reproductive rights in the wake of Dobbs, and litigated a prisoner civil rights case addressing conditions at a now-shuttered federal women’s prison.  She has also led litigation focused on defending the provision of lawful gender-affirming medical care to transgender teens in Texas.
