Mitch Feldhake is a senior IP litigation associate in Willkie's Chicago office. He litigates a broad range of IP disputes, including patent infringement and invalidity, IP-related antitrust claims, and trade secret matters, and has represented clients before the  U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, federal district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (“PTAB”), and International Trade Commission.  

Drawing on his background in mechanical engineering, Mitch has handled matters across diverse technological fields, including mechanical, electrical, computer source code, and chemical technologies. He has experience at every stage of litigation—from pre-suit investigations and discovery through pretrial proceedings, jury trials, and appeals. 

Mitch maintains an active pro bono practice. He has represented pro bono clients in criminal defense proceedings, civil rights actions 42 U.S.C. § 1983, and trademark prosecution and enforcement matters.

Before joining Willkie, Mitch served as a judicial law clerk at the PTAB, where he worked closely with Administrative Patent Judges on all aspects of inter partes review and post grant review proceedings. During his clerkship, he also worked with the USPTO Director on PTAB and patent policy initiatives.
