Nick counsels clients on a variety of matters relating to cybersecurity and privacy regulatory compliance, data breach response and investigations, mergers & acquisitions, risk management, data flows and international data transfers, and other matters related to the collection, use, sharing, and protection of information. A former communications officer in the Marines, Nick brings a real-world understanding of technology and cybersecurity to his clients’ matters.

  • One of the largest social media companies in the world in drafting and implementing a privacy policy compliant with California’s privacy laws.
  • Insight Partners on the privacy and cybersecurity considerations of multiple corporate transactions, including its investment in global financial markets software company Genesis Global, and the $1.825 billion sale of one of its portfolio companies’ business units to Equifax.
  • Kaseya on the privacy and cybersecurity considerations of its $6.2 billion acquisition of Datto, a leading global provider of security and cloud-based software solutions purpose-built for MSPs.
  • Developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans for a major hedge fund with more than $45 billion in assets.
  • A large, international software provider in responding to privacy inquiries from data protection authorities in Germany and Austria.
