Elham Ardestani is an associate in Willkie’s Private Wealth Group. She focuses on matters involving estate and wealth transfer planning, trusts, family governance, business succession planning, charitable organizations, estate administration and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Prior to joining Willkie, Elham was an associate with a nationally recognized law firm in the private client services and tax, trusts, and estates practice. Her work involved the formation and operation of private trust companies; advanced estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning; and agreements related to grantor trusts, insurance trusts, and dynasty trusts. Elham has an extensive tax background and previously worked as a senior associate at a leading accounting firm. She supported the mergers and acquisitions team with tax due diligence, risk reporting, and pre- and post-deal restructuring regarding tax consequences of acquisitions, consolidations, distributions and liquidations. She also assisted with tax consulting for state and local tax clients before the California Franchise Tax Board and the State Board of Equalization.
